Download Left 4 Dead Client

You can use this L4D client to play online on No Steam servers ! No Garena !

This is the No Steam version of this game.

You have to follow this steps:

1. Dowload Left 4 Dead Skullptura

2. Unzip the archive in a simple path like D:\Games, or even D:\ .

3. Double click on setup.bat ... a black ms dos window will open... to begin installation press any key.

You will be prompted to install Direct X . Do that too.

Wen it finishes, you can play Left 4 Dead ... but now you have to patch the game in order to play online on No Steam Servers.

Left 4 Dead No Steam client patch

In order to patch L4D client folow this steps:

1. Download L4D Total Update Patch 1.0.1.4
Duble click the exe file and chose the main directory of your game ( the one that contains the game`s executable, left4dead.exe)

If you already have the game installed and updated to 1.0.1.3 version, download L4D Mini Update from 1.0.1.3 to 1.0.1.4 and install it in your game`s folder.

Don`t install any Standalone patch provided by Garena. If you do, the server list won`t work any more !

Configuring L4D client.. How to play Left 4 Dead online!

1. Changing default player name

In game you won`t be able to change the name using console comand: name. You will have to edit the name in one client`s file. So go to your Left 4 dead installation main directory (the one that contains the game`s executable (left4dead.exe) . In this directory you will find a file named rev.ini . Open it using Notepad or Wordpad and scroll down to the line 89...there you have:

PlayerName = DefaultPlayerName

Edit the line as you wish.

2. Opening game`s console

To activate the console go to Options -> Keyboard/Mouse -> Allow Developer Console , click Enabled and then click Done.

Open the console with ~ key (the one under ESC) .

3. Opening the Serverbrowser

Starting with version 1.0.1.4 , the game supports the serverbrowser. This mean that the ingame serverlist is full of No Steam servers submited to Setti Masterserver.

Anyway, if you wish to open the browser, console type : openserverbrowser

or bind this command to a key, by typing:

bind p openserverbrowser
